Laser Scar Removal in Denver

No two scars are alike, and that is the whole problem with how scar treatment usually gets sold. A single device cannot be right for every scar, yet most clinics only have one.

Acne scarring in particular comes in several forms. Some are pitted, some are raised, some are really discolouration rather than texture. They need different answers.

The honest goal

The aim is to stimulate healthy new tissue so the skin genuinely smooths and evens out, rather than to hide anything.

That takes time, because you are asking your skin to remodel. It is worth setting that expectation now: this is a course of treatment measured in months, not a single appointment.

Ablative lasers, the aggressive route

Ablative treatment, principally fractional CO2, is the most powerful option we have for textured scarring. You get meaningful change from a single treatment.

The trade-off is recovery. Expect roughly five days of downtime after a fractional CO2 session. For a lot of people that is worth planning a week around, precisely because so much happens in one visit.

Non-ablative lasers, the gentler route

Non-ablative treatments are less aggressive and need more sessions, but recovery is about a day.

We use Pico and IPL depending on the scar and your skin. If you cannot take a week out, this is the route that fits around real life.

Medical-grade chemical peels

Where the problem is discolouration left behind by acne rather than texture, a peel is often the more direct answer. It lifts the pigmented surface layers for a more even tone.

Peels are frequently combined with laser work rather than used alone.

Comfort during treatment

Resurfacing is not a gentle treatment, so it is worth knowing what is available.

Our prescription numbing cream is roughly twice the strength of standard preparations. We also offer nitrous sedation, which relaxes you enough to make the session genuinely comfortable, and you can still drive yourself home afterwards.

If discomfort is the thing that has been putting you off, say so at your consultation. It is a solvable problem.

How we decide

At your free consultation we look at what kind of scarring you actually have, your skin type, how much downtime you can realistically take, and what you want to spend. Then we build a plan around that.

Often the answer is a combination, for example ablative work on the worst areas and non-ablative or peels elsewhere.

Who performs your treatment

Your treatment is carried out by Certified Laser Specialists who are also instructors at our college, training staff from other clinics on these techniques. Students do not perform treatments in our clinic and do not observe them.

What it costs

Scar treatment and resurfacing are quoted individually rather than listed at a fixed price, because the plan varies so much between people. Call us and we will give you a straight answer.

Your consultation is free. You can also see our full range of laser treatments.

If you have had scar treatment before that did not deliver, bring the detail of what was used. It genuinely changes what we would recommend next.
